Terms and Conditions

Last updated 9 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and me for your use of pranaysarkar.com, my personal design portfolio. By using the site you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.

1. About these terms

This site is run by Pranay Kumar Sarkar, an independent designer based in India (“I”, “me”). These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between us about the site. They are an electronic record under India’s Information Technology Act, 2000, and need no signature. You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding agreement to unlock a protected case study.

2. Ownership

The site and everything on it, including case studies, text, my name and logo, illustrations, images, UI screens, prototypes, shots, code and the selection and arrangement of all of it (“Content”), is owned by me or used with its owners’ permission, and is protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved.

Work made for clients is shown with their permission or in line with my agreements with them, and may be owned by them. Client names, logos and trademarks belong to their owners and appear only to describe my work. Self-initiated concept work is labelled as such, and is not made for, affiliated with or endorsed by the brands it concerns.

3. What you may do

I give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable permission to view the site in a web browser and to share links to its public pages. Nothing else is permitted unless I agree in writing. In particular, you may not:

  • copy, download, save, reproduce, modify, distribute, publish, sell or create works from any Content;
  • present my work, or anything derived from it, as your own or anyone else’s;
  • use robots, scrapers or other automated tools to access or collect Content, or use any Content to train, fine-tune, test or prompt artificial intelligence or machine learning systems;
  • remove or obscure copyright notices, watermarks or other marks;
  • frame or mirror the site, or make it appear associated with any other person or business;
  • get around, disable or interfere with the site’s access protection, copy protection or security, or try to reach any part of it you haven’t been given access to.

To ask permission to use something, email pranaysarkaruiux@gmail.com.

4. Confidential case studies

Some case studies contain confidential information belonging to me or my clients, and need an email code or a password to view. By requesting a code or entering a password, you agree that:

  • everything you see after unlocking (“Confidential Information”) is confidential, and you’ll use it only to assess my work for a possible professional relationship with me;
  • you won’t disclose, share, describe, copy, screenshot, photograph, record or otherwise reproduce any of it, in whole or in part, for anyone else, including colleagues, unless I agree in writing;
  • your code, password and access are for you alone; you won’t share them, and you’re responsible for any use of your access;
  • you’ll tell me promptly if you become aware of any unauthorised use or disclosure;
  • these obligations continue after your access ends, for as long as the information remains confidential; and
  • because a breach may cause harm that money can’t fully repair, I and the owners of the information may seek an injunction or other court order, as well as any other remedy available by law.

These obligations don’t cover information that is already public through no fault of yours, or that you already lawfully had without a duty of confidence, or where disclosure is required by law (in which case, where lawful, you’ll tell me first). I may withdraw access at any time, for any reason.

5. Information on the site

The site is provided “as is” and “as available”. Case studies describe past work and the results reported at the time, which may depend on factors outside my control; they aren’t a promise of future results. Nothing on the site is professional advice, an offer of employment or services, or a commitment to work together, and using it doesn’t create a client, employment or other relationship between us. I try to keep the site accurate and available, but to the fullest extent the law allows, I make no warranties of any kind, including that it will be accurate, complete, uninterrupted, secure or free of errors or harmful components.

6. Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, I won’t be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any loss of profit, revenue, data, business or opportunity, arising out of or in connection with the site, whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise. In any case my total liability to you will not exceed INR 1,000. The site is free, and these limits reflect that. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, such as for fraud.

7. Your responsibility

You agree to compensate me and keep me protected against any claims, losses, damages and reasonable costs (including legal fees) arising from your breach of these terms, including any unauthorised use or disclosure of Content or Confidential Information, by you or anyone who got it through you.

8. Things you send me

I welcome messages, but I’m not obliged to keep unsolicited ideas, suggestions or materials confidential, or to pay for or credit them, unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. Please don’t send me anything you consider confidential without such an agreement.

9. Other sites

Links to other sites, such as LinkedIn, Dribbble or Behance, are for convenience only. I don’t control them and I’m not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.

10. Suspension and changes to the site

I may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the site, or restrict your access, at any time and without notice. Sections 2, 4, 6, 7 and 11 continue to apply after your use of the site ends.

11. Law and disputes

These terms, and any dispute about them or the site, are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction, except that I may seek urgent relief, such as an injunction to protect Confidential Information or my intellectual property, in any court that has jurisdiction.

12. General

  • If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, it will be applied to the greatest extent permitted and the rest will remain in force.
  • If I don’t enforce a right straight away, I haven’t given it up.
  • You may not transfer your rights under these terms. I may transfer mine.
  • I’m not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond my reasonable control.
  • I may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version, and the version in force when you unlocked a case study continues to govern the Confidential Information you saw, unless the new version gives it more protection. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
  • If these terms are translated, the English version prevails.
